Returns the current routing metric for the interface.

Returns True if the system is currently configured to use DHCP.

Returns False otherwise.

hostname

mdns_hostname

The Zeroconf host name currently in use. This may be longer

than the host name if there is a collision on the current network.

The Ethernet MAC address

be empty.
